WW2 German Army reference book - Belgian military 1939
Softcover, German military reference pocket book printed by the German Army High Command (Generalstab des Heeres) in Autumn 1939. The book measures 15cm x 10.5cm. 59 pages of text and images describing the organization, armament, equipment, uniforms, rank insignia and defensive tactics of the Belgian military. 7 pages of colourized images and 9 pages of photographs. There is an additional leaflet with notes on Belgian uniforms glued on the reverse cover. The first cover has two Wehrmacht property stamps on it, one of which has been blacked out. Interesting WW2-era German army reference book, part of a series of booklets given out to German officers in order for them to familiarize themselves with the militaries of Europe. These books are hard to come by, I’ve been collecting them for several years. In very good condition, see photos for details.
