WW2 German commemorative “Death Card”, double panel (larger format, thicker paper), for Albert Klein, an Unteroffizier in a Panzer Grenadier Regiment. He was killed in battle on September 23rd 1943, in combat around the Allied landing zone in Salerno, Southern Italy. He died relatively late in the battle, as the Germans were disengaging / retreating.
