WW2 period German “Death Card”, single-pannel, for Simon Himpsl, an Obergefreiter in a Grenadier Regiment. He was awarded the War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords (Kriegsverd. Kr. 2 Kl. m. Schw.) and the Eastern Front Campaign Medal (Ostmedaille). He died on July 6th 1943 near the Russian city of Orel.
