WW2 Death Card - Decorated Panzerjäger trooper , KIA 43
Couldn't load pickup availability
WW2 period German “Death Card”, single-pannel, for Johann Strohmaier, an Obergefreiter in tank destroyer regiment (Panzerjäger Regiment). He was killed on July 25th 1943 around Kraffnikovo (haven’t managed to find this location on the Eastern Front). He was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class (EK2), the Panzer Assault Badge (Panzersturmabzeichen), Wound Badges (Verw.-Abzeichen) and the Eastern Front Campaign Medal (Ostmedaille). Nice portrait image of him on the reverse, his General Assault Badge and Wound Badge visible on his uniform. Also nice to see the “P” (denoting that he’s a Panzerjäger) on his shoulder straps.
