WW1 / WW2 German cutlery set - leather case
Couldn't load pickup availability
Leather case containing a foldable fork, foldable spoon and a foldable pocket knife. All three are made of steel, the fork and spoon have a patent mark “Gesetz Geschützt” on their handle. The pocket knife’s blade measures around 7cm long and is faintly maker marked on the base (I believe it’s marked “SW”). The leather case is well worn and consists of two “layers”. The outer case has an interesting emblem of St. George slaying a dragon and some latin script. The inner case has the compartments for the utensils and is less worn and faded.
All the items are undated, the fact that they’re made of steel and not aluminum, as well as the interesting leather case, indicates that they were probably private purchased and are likely pre-WW2, manufactured sometime between WW1 and the Weimar republic of the 1920’s and early 30’s, may have seen use during WW2. Interesting set, fairly eye-catching and stands apart.
