WW1 Militärpass - Oldenburg regiment 1916
WW1-era German Militärpass ID booklet, issued to by a soldier by the name of Tebben, from the Oldenburg region of Germany. Born in July 1894, he was called up for military service in December 1916. He was enrolled in the 4. Kompanie, Ersatz Battalion Oldenburgisches Infanterie Regiment 91, a well-established and fairly prestigious infantry regiment that served under the banner of the Duchy / Grand Duke of Oldenburg. The booklet contains multiple entries and stamps, showing that he underwent training, but doesn’t seem to show any recorded combat at the front, despite this regiment having fought on both the Eastern and Western Fronts and suffering fairly heavy casualties (uncertain whether he fought or not). In good condition, comes with its original protective soft cover case, with the soldier’s name written on the front.
