WW1-period German, Kingdom of Bavaria, Military Merit Cross 3rd Class with Swords medal, with original ribbon and 3 place ribbon-bar, in its original presentation case. The case is maker marked “Weiss & Co. Orden Fabrik, München”. The cover of the case is clearly marked “Bayerische M.V.Kr. 3 Kl.” and has a metal clasp that functions well. The case shows some wear and age, but displays very nicely and opens perfectly. The medal and ribbon are in excellent condition. The ribbon-bar is for a service medal, the Iron Cross 2nd Class (EK2) and the Bavarian Military Merit Cross 3rd Class. Very hard to upgrade this Bavarian medal, great presentation case.
