WHW / HJ donation can - Gau Baden

WHW (Winterhilfswerk) organization donation can (Sammeldose), measuring around 17.5cm in height and 10.5cm in diameter. These red-painted, sheet metal collection cans were typically held by Hitler Youth (HJ) members who would collect money during the annual WHW donation campaigns.The can is embossed with the lettering “Gau Baden” (it was used in the region of Baden). The lettering on the bottom indicates that it was manufactured by “M. Westermann & Co. , Neheim-Ruhr”, with an embossed number 9 (manufactured in 1939). The can shows only slight wear and paint loss, very attractive and eye-catching example. Remnants of a tag / sticker on the bottom (can be removed).
