WHW 1940 poster - Gau Westfalen Süd

Early 1940 printed WHW (Winterhilfswerk) propaganda poster, made to promote the winter of 1939/40 donation campaign. The date on written on the poster is “11. Februar 1940 5. Opfersontag des Krieges” (February 11th, the 5th Sunday of remembrance of the war), with the motto “Mehr als das Schönste Wort ist die Tat!” (Action is better than the finest word!). The detachable section on the bottom indicates that this was printed for the WHW organization in Gau Westfalen-Süd. Measures around 30cm x 21cm, in excellent unused, near mint condition. Fairly rare, would look great displayed in a frame.
