2nd edition Wehrpass issued to Johann Goss, in November 1943. He lived and worked in the town of Passau, Southern Bavaria, and his employment is listed as “municipal ‘senior’ inspector” (Landrats Oberinspektor). Born in 1891, Goss served with the 21.Bayer. Inf. Rgt. Fürth from 1912 to 1918, a Bavarian infantry regiment. He was deemed fit for duty in 1943 and 1944, though he doesn’t appear to have been called up for service, probably due to his age and / or his employment. Comes with a 1941 dated note, some sort of congratulatory message from his coworkers.
