WW2 period German Soldbuch, issued to Albert Wieczoreck, who was born in July 1906. He was called up for service in the Wehrmacht in March 1943, initially assigned to Stamm Kompanie Grenadier Ersatz Battalion 32 for his training. He reached the rank of Gefreiter and mainly served in several military hospitals, presumably as a medic / orderly, mostly located on the Eastern Front in occupied Poland (Warsaw and Lublin). He did serve a stint at the front and in field hospitals close to the front in the summer of 1944. This makes sense, as he was awarded the Wound Badge in Black (Verwundeten Abzeichen in Schwarz) in June of 1944, while serving as a stretcher bearer at the front. He was serving with Infanterie Regiment 670, part of the 371st Infantry division, when he was wounded (this formation had been destroyed at Stalingrad, but was reformed afterwards). The Soldbuch traces his military service until late March 1945. Nicely filled-out and stamped, extensive immunization records, as well as the units he served with, the locations where he served and the weapons and equipment he was issued (several Gewehr 98k rifles, a bayonet, gasmask, etc). Unfortunately the photo has been lost to time, otherwise a decent Soldbuch for a slightly older Heer soldier who was called up for duty mid-war and who served well as a medic on the Eastern Front from 1943-45. All entries and stamps have been photographed.
