Soldbuch and award document - veteran Heer NCO

Document grouping for a WW2 German Army veteran NCO, consists of:

-Soldbuch (Pay booklet) issued to Nikolaus Theobald, who joined the Heer in August 1939. Born in 1916, Theobald served in the military until the end of the war. He rose to the rank of Stabsgefreiter (Senior Corporal), being promoted to this rank in January 1945. He appears to have served mainly in Machine gun battalions, mainly attached to Croatian units (Kroatische Ausbildungs Brigade), though there is an entry that refers to service in Norway in 1940. He was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class (EK2), the Infantry Assault Badge (Inf. Sturm Abz.), the Wound Badges in both Black and Silver, as well as a Croatian medal that I can't identify. The Soldbuch is very well filled-in and stamped, containing the typical entries detailing his uniform, assigned equipment, vaccine history, gas mask training, periods on leave, etc. He was wounded or convalescing fairly often, quite a few visits to the field hospital. 

-Wound Badge in Silver award certificate (Besitzzeugnis Verwundetenabzeichen in Silber). Issued to Obergefreiter Theobald, who was wounded for a third time in November 1943. The medal was issued in January 1944, signed by a Colonel medical doctor at a field hospital in Graz. There is mention of Theobald serving in a Croatian unit (Kroat Brig). The document has a fold-line along the middle, shows typical age and wear.

Interesting grouping for a veteran German NCO who was well decorated and who fought multiple campaigns, apparently serving extensively in machine gun units attached to Croatian brigades. He must have spent several years combatting partisans in Yugoslavia.
