Miniature metal WW1 Prussian Guards Pickelhaube
Couldn't load pickup availability
Small (around 5cm in height) metal Imperial German pickelhaube helmet, the latin inscription on the emblem (“Suum cuique” : To each his own) is the motto used by the two prestigious Prussian grenadier Guards regiments, used on their helmets from 1889 onwards. The helmet is undated (may have been manufactured in the 1920’s or 30’s) and has a patent mark on the reverse (Ges. Gesch.). The metal chinstrap moves a bit and the spike (which is secured in place) wobbles a bit. Neat little item, fairly unique, these little “toy” helmets are out there, but I’ve never seen this particular example before.
