Couldn't load pickup availability
1940 dated Luftwaffe artwork postcard depicting paratrooper Major Walter Koch, a Knight’s Cross winner known for his heroics when storming Fort Eben-Emael in Belgium in 1940. The reverse has been filled in and mailed in mid-December 1940, by an army soldier by the name of Schütze Franz Röder, serving with 4. Infanterie Ers. Battalion 697. His message is basically that he hopes to see his family during the upcoming Christmas season. The postcard shows typical age and wear, somewhat rarer VDA version of this particular postcard.
