Large photograph, measuring around 24cm x 18cm, glued on to coloured cardboard. The photo depicts an unidentified German army unit, posing outside (given the number of soldiers depicted, it could be an infantry company). Undated, but given the uniforms it appears to be pre-1935, so early Third Reich or late period Weimar Republic. Some nice uniform details, including swords, musician “shoulder swallows” and lower sleeve insignia that indicate squad leaders and soldiers who have earned shooting awards. The dog “mascot” seated in the front row is a nice touch. Eye-catching photo, nice large size and displays very well.
