Kennkarte and ID grouping - Rhineland resident
ID grouping for Ida Cordier, a resident of the town of Kusel in the Rhineland region of Germany. Includes:
-Third Reich Kennkarte, issued to Cordier in March 1940, nicely stamped by the local municipal authorities.
-Rations Card sheets protective covering (Lebensmittelkarten Tasche). Basically a small folder used to hold ration stamps. Likely Third Reich, but undated and could be from the late 1940’s.
-Post-WW2 Kennkarte, trilingual (German, French and English), issued to Cordier in May 1947.
-Post-WW2 Grenzkarte (border ID card), issued by the French occupation authorities in the Saarland region. Valid from August to December 1949, with an additional validity stamp for 1950 on the front. This pass would allow her to travel to a designated location in the Saar region.
