2nd edition Arbeitsbuch, issued to Gerhard Simon (unsure of last name) in May 1943. The Arbeitsbuch comes with 4 small passport sized photos of Simon (his name is written on the reverse of one of the photos). He was born in January 1929, in the city of Ottweiler (in the Saarland region). He first began working in May 1943 (as a 14 year old), employed in agricultural work (Landwirtschaft). In November 1943 he began working for a coal company located in Saarbrücken (Kohlbecher & Co.), he worked as some form of apprentice (Lehrling). Interesting Arbeitsbuch for a teenager who began working for the fairly well-known coal industry in the Saarland.
