1st edition German Arbeitsbuch, issued to Mathias Vosen, a resident of the city of Mayen. He was born in 1914 and his Arbeitsbuch was opened in November 1935. The entries trace his work history as a photographer or “photographer’s assistant” at an oddly named shop in Mayen from 1935 to late 1938. It comes with a 1937 dated Merkblatt foldout, explaining the rights and responsibilities of Arbeitsbuch holders, and a 1944 dated postcard summoning someone from the Vosen family to the local Arbeitsamt facilities.
