Arbeitsbuch - NSDAP office employee 1938-42

2nd edition Arbeitsbuch issued to Margarita Getzl. Born in May 1916, in the Austrian city of Graz, she was issued this Arbeitsbuch in January 1940. The entries and stamps indicate that she worked as a stenographer (Stenotipistin) for a branch of the Nazi party in the Steiermark region of Austria (NSDAP Gauleitung Steiermark), specifically employed by the Volkswohlfahrt Amt (office for social assistance).She was employed in this NSDAP office from March 1938 (days after the Anschluss) to late May 1942. She then stopped working and her Arbeitsbuch was closed, presumably to care for her children. The post-WW2 entries show that she worked in various law offices in the 1950’s as a typist. The booklet comes with a insurance card dated May 1941.
