WW2 German commemorative “Death Card”, double-panel, for Josef Birkel, an Unteroffizier in an artillery regiment. He was killed on March 2nd 1942 on the Eastern Front. He was awarded the Iron Cross 2nd Class and Wound Badges. He had fought in the Polish campaign, France and the Balkans.
