WW2 German photo postcard of Knight’s Cross winner General der Infanterie Walter Schroth. He commanded divisions and corps in several campaigns, including France and Operation Barbarossa. He served on the military court that put July 20th plotters (assassination attempt against Hitler) on trial. He died in an automobile accident in October 1944. The reverse has been filled-in and mailed, marked Feldpost and dated late November 1944.
