National Socialist Party membership booklet - w/ leaflet

Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei Mitgliedsbuch (NSDAP membership ID booklet), 1935 version, issued to a man by the name of Halberstadt (first name difficult to read). Herr Halberstadt joined the Nazi party on March 1st 1933 and was given the membership number of 1 570 189 (the membership numbers eventually surpassed 8.5 million by 1945). Not quite an “Alte Kämpfer” (pre January 1933 members), but still a fairly early membership number. This particular ID booklet was issued to him in March of 1939 (certified at Nazi party headquarters in Munich, with a facsimile signature of Hitler). It contains membership payment stamps from 1938 to the end of 1944, as well as an individual stamp for a special contribution to the Reichsparteitag event in 1939. 48 pages, typical hardcover booklet, with the expected authorization stamps throughout and quite a few pages of rules, regulations and NSDAP history. The front cover is slightly curled, but otherwise the covers and spine, including the gilded NSDAP eagle, are in very good condition. It comes with a 2 page, double-sided, leaflet on the rights and responsibilities of NSDAP members (Merkblatt).
