March 1948 dated prisoner of war postcard, sent from a woman in the Saarland region of Germany to a German soldier by the name of Willi Mechenbier, who was being held at POW camp / gulag, designated as “Lager n. 7889”. I haven’t translated the entire message, though the writer asks about his birthday and how she plans to give him his gift later (he’d already been held as a POW for at least 3 years…).
