1941 produced German army artwork postcard depicting Mountain troops Oberst (Colonel) Eugen Meindl, specifically honoring his bravery during the Battle of Narvik. He later transferred to the Luftwaffe and would eventually rise to the rank of General of paratroops. He was awarded the Knight’s Cross with Oak Leaves. The reverse has a stamp for a VDA (Volksdeutsches Kameradschaftsopfer der deutschen Jugend) donation campaign, dated October 1941. In good condition, but the edges have been slightly trimmed.
