MKII type, RAF marked, blue-painted helmet. Dated 1941 on one of the support straps, size marked 7 and maker marked "FFI II". These helmets were used by RAF rescue crews, operating small naval craft to rescue downed RAF pilots and crew at sea. Purchased it in part because one of my great-uncles served in the RAF during WW2. Definitely one of the rare items in my collection.
