DJ belt buckle - RZM maker marked

DJ belt buckle - RZM maker marked

Third Reich German, Deutsche Jungvolk (DJ) member's belt buckle. These sigrune buckles were issued to members of the DJ until 1938, after which DJ members were given the standard Hitlerjugend (HJ) buckles. This particular buckle is the standard size, nickel plate model. Maker marked "RZM 50", which is uncommon as most of DJ buckles are unmarked. I haven't managed to narrow down who this manufacturer is, I'll have to continue researching this. Shows typical wear and age, I like the worn look of the faded silver patina on the front.

I'm a big fan of DJ / HJ belt buckles, I've always found the DJ buckles to be very eye-catching and collectible. The production of these wasn't as "standardized" and as a result there's a fair amount of variation, which makes them even more appealing.
