Hardcover, pocket calendar for the year 1943, published for residents of the Generalgouvernement (German occupied Poland). 112 pages which includes a calendar with all the observed Third Reich holidays, as well as numerous advertisements for hotels, restaurants, department stores and other establishments in the major cities of the Generalgouvernement (mainly Krakow, Warsaw and Lemberg, but also Lublin, Kielce, Radom and Częstochowa). Interesting to look up some of these old hotels, some of which still exist.
The most intriguing parts of this booklet are the reference sections on institutions that operated in the major cities of the Generalgouvernement. The addresses and phone numbers of Gestapo, Polizei, SS, post offices, Ostbahn railway offices, theatres, propaganda offices, local NSDAP offices, as well as various institutions for the Polish citizens. The heads of various institutions are also mentioned, notably Hans Frank (Governor), district governors and SS-SD / Polizei commandants. I find these kinds of items very interesting, particularly since I've visited most of these places.
